Chapter 18

Chapter 18: Fire
I don’t quite remember how I got out of the science lab, but now I was running—in horse form; running through a forest I had yearned to be in since I could remember. I was looking for a place to hide till dark.
Then I came to a cave. I transformed back into human form and approached it carefully.
Somebody saw me…..But she looked ok.
She ran up to me and said her name was Storm. Hmm, nice name. Anyway I said my name was Fire. I could tell she was a mutant. She said there were more mutants and that I could join them. I figured that I would be safer with them then on my own so I said yes.
I walked in and there were probably like eight others in there.
As I walked in they all stared at me, one boy probably about my age came up to me and said his name was Ethan. He was cute, I guess. The others came up and introduced themselves to me. They were all very nice…Then Ethan asked me what I could do. Storm said that she saw me as a horse, and I said I could also throw fire….and I told them my name. I turned toward the cave entrance: I thought I’d heard something.
