Chapter twenty one

Chapter 21: Kichi

“Storm,” I whispered, making sure I could still talk. She looked up, her new violet eyes piercing mine. “I… never mind.” I looked down. “What is it Kichi.” I sighed.
“I am worried.” I said relenting, watching the dark sky. I looked back quickly, and she was staring at me sadly. “Kichi, I am too. We all are, it isn’t something to be ashamed of.” We both stared off again. I looked at her again. “We need a plan. To throw them off our trail… permanently.” She leaned closer to me. “What were you thinking?” I smiled. Lately I had been feeling really washed out and unlike myself. I guess the word would be: unimportant. I finished telling Storm my plan, and then we decided to put it into action. She was the leader, so I had to ask her.
It would take a total of three days to complete. But if it works, we could get our own lives. Storm and I went back into the cave. I flashed a light in Adara’s face. Now that I was feeling more like myself I started disliking her again.
“Get everyone. We got to get to the Grand Canyon as soon as possible.” I kicked Ethan “Get up. I have a plan. We lead the scientist with DNA, blood, our scent, anything. Then when they follow us to the canyon, we make a big scene of it. We can pretend that Ares died of a rattle snake bite. He will be waiting at the bottom. So we will have this big “fight” and I can push Adara off the side of the canyon. Then we can pretend that Ethan likes her and jump after her. Something like that. A way for us to all end up at the bottom of the canyon, then Ares to catch us. You still got super speed and strength?” like I had to ask.
