Chapter 20: Adara

I laughed, menacing, as I punched a scientist in the nose, instantly killing him. I knew a few defense skills. The freezing-in-time helps a lot too. I froze, another punching him in the nose as well. I saw the others fighting them off easily as well. Yes, we were living up to our name, the vicious mutants. But, who cares, you know?

Soon, all the scientists were dead or unconscious. We found a cave and a stream nearby. We discovered we were all starving, so we hunted a few rabbits, a deer and a squirrel. We got a fire going and had rabbit stew, finding herbs in the woods. We quickly diminished the fire, so the scientists wouldn’t find us again. Storm and Kichi kept watch when we went to sleep.
